2.90 forgets what it has read under XP

Quite often it forgets that what it has read from a feed and
displays old headlines as new - not at the top but down
where the where.
Say its a news item 10 days ago. Suddenly it is
highlightede again, even though I have read it ten days ago.
And its not in the actuall feed, I've fetched files several
times to check.
Also, some boards use rss feeds to show new posts - they
also get totally screwed up from time to time.

Setting the archive size in the feed properties to "all
headlines" has all but solved that problem for me.

I'm seeing this too. Again, running XP.

I get an error parsing the XML in headlines.xml which
produces this problem. it's obvious - it happens every time
I start feedreader, and there's a message box that says
some4thing like "error parsing headlines.xml", and then
FeedReader re-downloads a heap of old ejntries as new ones.
OK, it was every time until just now... Right now it's
working fine.

OK, the error is "Error loading headlines" "parser error". I
just restarted to get "advanced configuration". It's baack!
The "archive size" thing seems to be per-feed only. I really
don't want to have to set that on every single feed! But
luckily... if you edit subscriptions.xml and change all the
<archivesize>8888</archivesize> (or whatever instead of
8888) to <archivesize>9999</archivesize> that works as a
single search and replace.

The archive size setting has not fixed this problem for me.
Running on XP, BTW.

I have experienced the same thing, but only on specific
feeds. Here's one;

Blogger atom-feeds and also Drupal's RSS-feed seems to work
fine - example http://rc6.org/node/feed
