Excellent software! I am using it on a MacBook Pro (Catalina v. 10.15.6), and every time I export plot to CSV, it freezes (it does the export, but the software freezes). This is ok, I can just reopen. However, running this for 100+ files, having to restart wach time, will make it difficult to streamline the process. Thank you!

Hi, thanks for the report.
Unfortunately, I can't reproduce that error. I don't have a Mac around to test this in detail, I only work with Windows.
But maybe there is an error message that I could use to understand the problem. To get the error messages, could you please run FCSalyzer from the MacOS terminal? Possible errors should then be shown in the terminal window.
To do this, please start the MacOS terminal. Then change to the directory (folder) where you placed FCSalyzer.jar. Then type "java -jar FCSalyzer.jar". FCSalyzer should open now as usual, and the terminal window should print error messages.
Please copy-paste all error message and send them to me, or paste them into a post here.
Thanks!

Hello Sven, and thanks for your quick feedback. I tried running from terminal, but no error message appears. It just locks with the "Exporting to CSV" window open. I am able to use anything else except the software, and I am able to shut down with Cmd+Q (which means FCSalyzer is responsive), but I am not able to close the "Exporting to CSV" window and load the next file to the plots. The terminal does not show any message. Alternatively, is there a command line I could use in Terminal after loading FCSalyzer to batch load files, apply a template Gate (from a specific file) and batch export to CSV? Once again, thanks for the great software.

OK, then I am a little at a loss - without an error message it is difficult to fix the problem, as I also can't rproduce it. I will have to think about that. Unfortunately there is currently no batch processing or command line processing, I only programmed the GUI interface.
Sorry, I am afraid this problem will take longer to solve. Maybe you could try to install a different version of Java? https://adoptopenjdk.net/ has some options.

Thanks, Sven. I'll try running on an older Mac Pro I have, and I'll let you know if that works. Thanks for all the help (and I apologize for my delayed response).

Hi, I have good news - I was able to reproduce the problem!
I am not entirely sure I understand completely what is happening there - it seems that the dialog does not disappear correctly, if the export is completed too fast. Seems like I only tested it with longer running exports (and maybe on my older much slower computer).
Anyways, I am working on it and already found a quick n dirty solution. I will also try to make a "real" fix.
I am also working on a batch export function - that is the reason I tested everything again and reproduced the problem. Hopefully I can upload a new version soon (within a couple of weeks).

Hi, I just uploaded a new version that should have a repaired dialog. Also, batch exporting is now possible - hope that helps!
Let me know if there are any problems with the new version.
Best regards,
Sven
