Overview of the Installation Procedure

The steps for installing and starting to use FARSA are the following:

1. Install all necessary programs and libraries.
2. If you need to simulate the iCub robot, install YARP and iCub tools. You can also install this part later.
3. Compile FARSA (only if you are not using the provided installer packages).
4. Install FARSA.
5. Run one of the exemplificative experiment.
6. Create your own experiment.

The instructions for the first four steps are slightly different depending on your operating system, and they are provided separately for Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. Instead, the instructions about the last two steps are independent of your system and they are reported on the following pages of this manual.

Installer Packages

The installer packages allow to directly install FARSA without compiling it by yourself (skipping the step 3).

Install from Source Package

In case you wish to compile the FARSA source code (step 3), follow the instructions in the page corresponding to your operating system:
