#1859 Automaton in Mountains of Freedom doesn't leave office


After you get initially captured in the Mountains of Freedom, the Automaton will never leave his office, putting the dungeon, and therefore the game, into an unsolvable state. The Automaton is supposed to leave his office periodically, and will approach the door time and again, but will not open it.

It would be nice if, after fixing/circumventing this bug, you sent a save of just after the automaton opens the door so I can solve the dungeon and continue the game. My email is zeteginara@gmail.com.

Attached is a saved game directly prior to sleeping with Frigidazzi.

    seems that "if (gotpath)" (schedule.cc:945) is messing it up, maybe the automaton can't find the proper path to start...

    There's no way the Freedom Automaton hack in the patrol schedule can work.
    The npc will stop at the final patrol egg (11) and be stuck in patrol's version of loiter until the next schedule change. We'd need to actually save the needed patrol egg to start at somewhere and make sure it is back to the first path egg when the schedule ends.

    This is fixed in r7434 but goes back to the problem of repeating path eggs which will likely need data saved to the save file.
