i have a windows xp and ubuntu 10 dual boot and when i try to save a 500MB file from my ext partition it gets to 35% and crashes everytime which is weird and very repeatable. its a very fresh install of windows xp

I'm having a similar problem under Windows XP reading an ext partition on a USB drive. My XP, however, cannot be considered as a fresh install... :)

No suggestions, fixes or workarounds?

Hi!Don't know if this can help, but i just found out that the ext2 hard drive had some bad blocks. Maybe the application quits when trying to read from bad clusters?
