FWIW, I used to use Expect with Net::Telnet because I was under the
impression that it would be thread safe, which it might have been.
However, there pattern matching issues that arose. For my work,
because I make heavy use of threads, I've migrated to Net::Telnet
solely. The pattern matching is a bit more kludgy than Expect, but it
gets the job done and has been very solid for me.
