Do you use VML or SVG files for the icons in the
user
interface?

    Do you find the documents
    "http://citeseer.org/cs?q=Vector+Graphic+User+Interface"
    interesting?

We don't need vector graphics currently. Just another
    unusable feature.

Like I Said, binary graphics such as GIF are just enough for
us. I don't see any point of implementing it just because it
    exist and can be used.

but look. everybody who wants to use vector graphics has to
download a plugin. SVG is not a standard at the time. We
want to stick to standards. Maybe you want to join our dev
    team?

    hmmm
yes, ive seen the adobe demos. they seem to be quite
interesting. especially charts etc. but still, it's not a
standard... every user would have to install an additional
    plugin.

    SVG is a W3C standard.
You can view these files by plugins or applets.

thats right... you NEED to install a THIRDPARTY plugin. It
would be better if SVG was more popularized, and plugins
included in default installations, like Flash players

I see flash as a third party software, too.

I agree that I would like to get the
    plugin "http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/main.html"
    as popular as the
    plugin "http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.
    html".

yeah i know that flash is a third party software, but is more
popular than svg. every modern os has it installed.

I assume that SVG and perhaps flash will be more popular
than flash files in the near future.
Each format has got its fans and community.

yeah of course that every format has its own fans. but look,
expcms would be used by normal users, eg. normal internet
users who browse sites powered by expcms. i don't use svg
plugin, cuz no of any popular sites use it. thats why i dont
    want to use svg graphics.

    1. This can change with newer browsers.

    2. Can users create a theme or skin for the user interface
where the GUI builders can choose SVG or VML files on their
    own?
(I can not read the documentation on your home page at the
    moment.)

    1) If it will, we can implement CVG then,

    2) we use our custom templating system.

    2) How do you think about the icons "http://librsvg.sourceforge.net/theme.php"?
