The GPU miner is essential for the start of the mining. The mining part won't start without this part. We would rather delay the mining start than delay the start of the gpu miner.
Current status:
very basic program setup - major work is still needed here
basic setup done -> class wrapping, initialization, shutdown, error checking, running primitive codes etc
working on the algorithm itself now.
