I'm not sure I correctly understand the first half of your question, but you can either query for the existence of a given document: empty(document('/db/test/test.xml')) will return true if the document does not exist. Or you can directly ask for some root element: empty(/test) Cocoon path tokens are not yet passed to the XQuery engine, but I think I can add that easily. Wolfgang |
