i see in the xsp's where it refers to pretty-printing. (apparently <xmldb:get-xml as="xml"/> causes it to be pretty-printed.) but i don't see a parameter or anything to turn this off/on. :j -----Original Message----- From: exi...@li... Subject: Re: [Exist-open] Formatting of a query result > is pretty-printing behavior for cocoon > also controlled by client.properties > or is that for the stand-alone client only? I think only the stand-alone client looks at client.properties. The pretty-printing in Cocoon is controlled by the logic sheets. Take a look as whatever xsp you're invoking and you'll soon see where. One related gotcha applies not to client.properties but to conf.xml. If you use the stand-alone client the indexing, logging etc behaviour is controlled by the conf.xml in <eXist_home>/bin. But under Cocoon its the conf.xml in <eXist_home>/webapp/WEB-INF is the one that's followed. This can cause some confusion, especially for people who use the client in local mode to upload large documents which are then retrieved by Cocoon.
