Sorry that I haven't sent the whole error message before. Here it is: 15 Nov 2001 11:09:49,307 WARN (ElementIndex.java [flush]:168) - java.sql.SQLException: Datengr=F6=DFe gr=F6=DFer als max. Gr=F6=DFe = f=FCr diesen Typ: 7080=20 "Datengr=F6=DFe gr=F6=DFer als max. Gr=F6=DFe f=FCr diesen Typ" means as = much as "datasize exceeds maximum size for this type". I'm sorry that the orginal error message is not completely in English but I don't know how to set the Oracle JDBC driver to output just English. I read the code a little bit and I'm quite sure, that "m_insert.setBytes(3, data);" in ElementIndex.java in the flush method causes the exception. It's strange, because the Oracle type long raw can hold up to 4 GB, but i'm sure the data byte array isn't that big. Perhaps the Oracle JDBC Driver requires something special to insert data in a long raw field ... Thank you, Peter. -----Urspr=FCngliche Nachricht----- Von: Wolfgang Meier [mailto:sb...@we...] Gesendet: Donnerstag, 15. Unfortunately I have no running Oracle installation around (needed the disk space for other things), so I have not been able to test eXist 0.6 with it. > Now, there is another server warning message when I try to insert a XML > document, saying that a java.sql.SQLException occured. Is there any more information on this Exception? It would help to know which table or command generates it. Regards, Wolfgang |
