Hi Florent, Ihe, > That's great news, I didn't know that. I gave it a try, filled > in the forms (they look very nice!), till the form "Default > Permissions". When I click on "Done", I get an error I fixed this in rev 16903 Monday evening. > I remember repo.xml was introduced in the early days of the > packaging integration. I indeed kept repo.xml for historical reasons only. > Is there any description of this descriptor format? And of > when and how the pre- and post-installation scripts are run? The old documentation can be found on the website: http://exist-db.org/exist/repo/repo.xml#d26e417 but I'll need to write a new guide for the 2.0 release. The pre-install script runs after the package has been registered with the package manager and before any files are copied into the db. You normally use it to create required users or upload collection configurations. The post-install scripts runs after files have been copied and permissions applied. Wolfgang |
