Hi all, As we've discussed on a previous thread, we're experimenting with building the eXist trunk (1.5) WAR output using different JDKs, using a Jenkins Continuous Integration server. We're making the last few builds of each type available for download from here: <http://hcmc.uvic.ca/downloads/existbuilds.xml> Our purpose is to save ourselves the trouble of checking out and building a new WAR file manually -- we can always go and grab the latest one -- and to test some of the non-standard builds (using e.g. OpenJDK7 and Oracle JDK 1.7. One of the builds is a standard build with the Oracle JDK 1.6, though. So if you're using dist-war, and you want to check out your project with the latest build from the eXist trunk, you can download one from there. Please let us know about any experiences you have, good or bad, with these builds, through the eXist list; I know other people are testing with OpenJDK and wondering about Java 7. Typically it will take less than an hour from when someone checks in a change to the SVN on SourceForge to when the build from that revision appears on our feed. The Jenkins server itself is here: <http://plum.hcmc.uvic.ca:8080/> and you can check out the console output from any build by clicking on the build number, and then hitting Parsed Console Output. Cheers, Martin |
