Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Martin Holmes (martindholmes) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Ivy jar file is not placed in correct location during build Initial Comment: From around build # 15473, some Linux distros are unable to build eXist due to a failure to copy the Ivy jar file to the correct location. For instance: I had a working build using 1.5 15314, then I did svn update to 15476, and got the error: [fetch] Moving to /home/mholmes/exist_trunk/eXist/tools/ant/lib/ivy-2.2.0.jar [taskdef] Could not load definitions from resource org/apache/ivy/ant/antlib.xml. It could not be found. BUILD FAILED /home/mholmes/exist_trunk/eXist/build/scripts/build-impl.xml:712: The following error occurred while executing this line: /home/mholmes/exist_trunk/eXist/extensions/modules/build.xml:285: Problem: failed to create task or type antlib:org.apache.ivy.ant:retrieve Cause: The name is undefined. Action: Check the spelling. Action: Check that any custom tasks/types have been declared. Action: Check that any <presetdef>/<macrodef> declarations have taken place. No types or tasks have been defined in this namespace yet The ivy jar is not present. Adding the jar manually from here: http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/ivy/ivy/2.2.0/ivy-2.2.0.jar allows the build to proceed. According to Dannes: "I remember I had some out standing work left for the [fetch] task. Under the hood it MOVEs the file to the right location, *but* for some linux distributions strangely the java File#move() method does not work under all conditions. Strange no?"
