Hello Chris, The answer is no. You can check out http://www.theserverside.com/discussions/thread.tss?thread_id=26347. What I would suggest is to have multiple eXist servers running and use load balancing via Apache load balancing. Image taken from the magnolia-cms web page. You can check out the following resources: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_proxy_balancer.html http://blog.search-computing.net/2010/04/load-balancing-with-apache-a-tutorial-on-mod_proxy_balancer-installation-and-configuration/ http://wiki.magnolia-cms.com/display/WIKI/Guide+-+How+to+configure+an+apache+load+balancer I think that the third link may be the most useful. There is also nginx and here are two resources about load balancing for that: http://wiki.nginx.org/LoadBalanceExample http://forum.nginx.org/read.php?2,178453,178453 I think that you will find this to be a nice solution. This is specially true for a read only site. In anticipation of a spike in traffic we're adding resources to the virtual server that holds the eXist instance feeding the site (http://collections.richmond.edu/secession). > > We have a couple of questions for the list: > > > 1.
