Please correct me if I'm wrong, but sparql would require an rdf triple store in the background to be efficient. Right now we don't include one, but I've been playing with the idea for a while: * create an rdf index module, which plugs into the indexing pipeline and listens for rdf being stored. It would forward the rdf to a triple store for efficient indexing. * create xquery extension functions to integrate a sparql query into xquery, or look into xsparql, which provides a neat integration. Apart from this, there are certainly other options, eg based on triggers, but I find the idea of a tight integration very appealing. I've been trying to find sponsors for this for a while. Sooner or later I need to implement something. Since creating index plugins is rather straightforward, I would expect that at least a simple integration could be done in a few days work.
