Do NOT use openjdk. eXist-db is developed and tested against Sun JDK
6. It is also known to work well with Apple's JDK 6 on MacOSX.

I would also imagine that there are no problems with IBM JDK's, I used
to use these myself but have not for some time.

In the past we have seen issues with various open source jdk's!
