Thanks Wolfgang, Quick sanity check: I should be aiming to store the data in as normalised a form as possible? Seems a bit cumbersome compared to the expression language/ORM/RDBMS I'm used to. In that world it would just be "Charity.type.title" rather than "id(/Charity/type/@idref)/title" (probably got that wrong). Seems like the id/idref implementation detail is exposed. I'm probably attacking this in totally the wrong way. Any good primers for those of us with minds bent by two decades with RDBMS?
