Hello, After configuring tomcat to port "80", I was able to deploy eXist .war using the full path-name localhost/eXist-1.2.4-rev8072/index.html which IMHO may not be the best way to resolve the issue yet it works. Would it not be easier, as I read recently, to rename the home folder "exist"? -- einar Dannes Wessels-2 wrote: > > Hi Greg > > On Aug 15, 2008, at 20:02 , Greg Flex wrote: > >> I was testing my project and ran it with working directory specified >> to C:\Program Files\eXist and the conf.xml file was there >> so there was no problem... > > If you want to run eXist-db inside tomcat you have to download the > 'war' file and install it into tomcat, preferably using the admin > interface. some links: > > http://www.ucl.ac.uk/leaders-project/documentation/architecture/images/tomcat-manager.png > http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/manager-howto.html > > Exist should just run out of the box, as long you copy the right jar > files into the endorsed directory. > > regards > > Dannes > > -- > eXist-db Open Source Native XML Database > http://exist-db.org > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's > challenge > Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great > prizes > Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the > world > http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ > _______________________________________________ > Exist-open mailing list > Exi...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/exist-open > > -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/eXist-and-Tomcat-tp19003074p19027992.html Sent from the exist-open mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
