New to exist/xml/xquery so I hope this is not obvious but: Running exist with a new collection (/db/dja) and one xml file (DJA01.xml) I am able to get the REST interface to return the whole docuemnt with this: http://10.1.1.41:8080/exist/rest/db/dja/DJA01.xml but any GET-style xquery returns the same simple xml reference to the file, but not the actual content: http://10.1.1.41:8080/exist/rest/db/dja?_query//div1 returns: <exist:result> <exist:collection name="/db/dja" owner="admin" group="dba" permissions="rwur-ur-u"> <exist:resource name="DJA01.xml" created="2007-01-29T09:49:53.114-05:00" last-modified="2007-01-29T09:49:53.114-05:00" owner="admin" group="dba" permissions="rwur-ur-u"/> </exist:collection> </exist:result> instead of the actual set of div1 xml elements. Yet the example collection of the shakespeare/plays/macbeth.xml does return elements and their content: http://10.1.1.41:8080/exist/rest/db/shakespeare?_query=//STAGEDIR (althought certainly not all, as I understand XQuery's // path should. Any pointers? Could this be an index issue? Is there any tutorial or better documentation showing example REST-style GET with xquery AND what one ought to expect for output? Thanks in advance! -BIllB |
