I'm afraid eXist developers don't have that level of control over the=20
code :-)

It would have been more explicit in the announce if the developers had=20
to discuss about this point before releasing the new version. Generally,=20
a discussion occurs when a test case demonstrates a regression or raises=20
a design problem. As far as I remember, we've had no discussion about=20
this particular point.

Feel free to provide one or more test case if you want a "constant"=20
behaviour in eXist and thus in your applications.
