My experience was that even if I added small documents, one-at-a-time, via xmlrpc, the eXist stand-alone server memory usage still monotonically grew, until the run died. I never could add 400,000 documents, even with a 512MB VM. - Don ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Wilcox" <aw...@ev...> To: "'Don Grodecki'" <do...@br...>; <exi...@li...> Sent: Tuesday, July 11, 2006 11:40 AM Subject: RE: [Exist-open] Query Performance Testing Don, I allocated 1GB of RAM to ensure that memory did not play a factor in the response time. I should be able to run this with less, although I am not sure how far I can scale it down. I will experiment. Andy -----Original Message----- From: exi...@li... It it trying to hold all the indexes in memory or something? If 187,646 listings take 1GB, is there any chance that eXist can ever work with millions? - Don ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Wilcox" <aw...@ev...> Sent: Tuesday, July 11, 2006 10:23 AM Subject: [Exist-open] Query Performance Testing ...
