Hi Giuseppe and all, > i have noticed the same problem when i've upgrated from a previous version > of exist to the latest snapshot > and i've forget to replace the exist.jar file in my application's > CLASSPATH. > The problem is related to the java api incompatibility. > Maybe in your linux version the CLASSPATH points to an oldier version of > the > exist.jar too. > Check this issue and retry, Finally, I got to try out your suggestion, and you were right: the CLASSPATH did point to an older version, but unfortunatelly - after fixing this - the problem is still the same: I keep getting an error-message while running eXist under Linux: org.xmldb.api.base.XMLDBException: java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: org.exist.xmlrpc.RpcAPI.queryP(org.exist.security.User, [B, java.util.Hashtable) The strange thing is that there is no exception while running under Windows on localhost. The exception occurs while execution a simple query: CompiledExpression compiled = service.compile( "//text[@id='" + id_to_look_up + "']"); ResourceSet result = service.execute(compiled); I am using ... - on localhost (windows): version from 20060206 (I think from CVS) - on the server (linux): CVS version from 20060323 Do you have any ideas what could be wrong here?
