Which is probably why nobody here thought it was their task to do it for you. This is a user/developer support, exchange and discussion list, not a term-papers repository. If you browse the archives of this list you will find more than enough about the strengths and (past or current) weaknesses of eXist to get you started, and a good idea of what sort of data it is currently being used to handle. Then study the materials on Ron Bourret's site http://www.rpbourret.com/ to get the bigger picture and an idea of what a meaningful comparison of native XML dbs needs to cover. You will also there find links to the dbXML site and to SoftwareAG for Tamino, both of which will provide you with material for feature comparisons. Performance comparisons you won't be able to do, unless your site has a Tamino license or you have access to a lot of cash to purchase one... Michael Beddow |
