I had this dream for a long time. I agree about the advantages. I never had time to evaluate this, and even less to work on it. The key abstractions for XQuery in eXist are interrelated : - org.exist.xquery.value.Sequence - org.exist.xquery.AbstractExpression If the Saxon precessor can be made to work with Sequence , it would be great .
