This issue has been resolved. It was most definately on my end, sorry. = I was=20 watching the HTTP error message and error code and did not realize that = eXist=20 was sending back HTML content elaborating on the "(400) Bad Request" = reponse. =20 I guess I figured the whole error message would reside in the header and = not=20 the body. =20 I downloaded a very nifty program called Fiddler Http Debugger and it = helped=20 immensly with debugging. This program is great. You can construct HTTP = requests and watch all the HTTP traffic on your system. It is = invaluable for=20 anybody working with the REST, or SOAP, or RPC api's. However, it only = works=20 on windows. You can check it out at: http://www.bayden.com/fiddler/ Thanks, Jarrett =20 >=20 > I am having trouble posting xquerys to the rest interface. If I post = a=20 simple xpath query it all works fine but > when I post a multiline xquery I get a "(400) Bad Request" reponse. = I've=20 tried putting the xquery in a CDATA > section like in the search.pl file included in the sample directory. = I've=20 also tried escaping the xquery.=20 > I am using a build from the end of march. >=20 > Thanks, Jarrett >=20 |
