Hello-
I had a GUI version of exiftool on my Windows 7 machine for several years. Now I have a new computer (Win 10), and I cannot tell which version to install. I don't remember having to install Perl the last time, so I assumed I wanted the stand-alone Windows executable, but when I launched that, it looked nothing like what I expected.
So I'm back to feeling like a newbie. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
Thanks in advance,
Eric

Hi Phil, and a belated thanks for your reply. I'm just seeing it now, as I got no notification of your post, even though I thought I'd subscribed to receive them. I'll try your suggestion tomorrow.

Hi Phil-
Finally got around to installing the GUI. Thanks very much for the link! It took me a minute to realize that I should put exiftool.exe loose in the Windows directory so that exiftoolgui.exe would find it. I think I followed Bogdan's installation manual correctly, and the tool seems to be working, but when I exit the GUI, I get a message that the GUI settings could not be saved. Guessing this is a Bogdan question, but do you know what the issue might be? Don't know if I can ping him in this forum.
Thanks in advance.

ExifToolGUI may be downloaded from here: http://u88.n24.queensu.ca/exiftool/forum/index.php/topic,2750.0.html

Hi Eric,
You should use the stand-alone Windows version of exiftool with ExifToolGUI. But you must also download ExifToolGUI from here: http://u88.n24.queensu.ca/exiftool/forum/index.php/topic,2750.0.html
The GUI manual from that page contains instructions for installation.
