I have installed ExifTool choco package (this one). Recently (on 11th Jan) I found it out of date. According to the note at the bottom of package information (see screenshot), I waited day or two and still see it outdated.
I am not sure how to contact the maintainer(s) (Maurice Kevenaar according to package info). Can anyone tag him here to let them know about the issue? @mkevenaar Is this the correct Twitter?

One question, should I use "Update All" option of choco or choco upgrade all command for automated updating, or should it be updated really automatically by choco engine, without any additional manual action?

The author of exiftool is not associated with the Chocolatey repository.
Your other questions are related to Chocolatey and should be asked someplace dedicated to that site.
