I added the exiflow repo via the wiki instructions, but when attempting to install the extensions, it reports:

"The selected extensions can't be installed because there are dependency conflicts.
The package 'Core v0.4.0.3457 could not be found in any repository'
The package 'Core v0.4.0.3628 could not be found in any repository'
The package 'Core v0.4.0.3457 could not be found in any repository'
The package 'Core v0.4.0.3456 could not be found in any repository'

The following packages will be installed:

FSpot.DevelopInUFrawExiflow,0.97 v0.97 (in user directory)
FSpot.ExiflowCreateVersion,1.06 v1.06 (in user directory)
FSpot.ExiflowEditComment,1.06 v1.06 (in user directory)
FSpot.ExiflowMerge,1.06 v1.06 (in user directory)

The following dependencies could not be resolved:

Core v0.4.0.3457
Core v0.4.0.3628
Core v0.4.0.3457
Core v0.4.0.3456
"

The version of f-spot i'm running is 0.4.3.1, which I compiled from src.

Thanks!

This has been fixed two weeks ago - sorry we forgot to comment and close this bug report at the same time!

To make a long story short, the problem is that mono.addins aren't designed to support dependencies of the form "product X version Y or higher". Only exact exact version matches are supported, so we are forced to release new (and, besides the version number, possibly unchanged) extensions for every release of F-Spot. In addition, the user has to install these new extensions by hand.

There's a workaround implemented in F-Spot that enables the right version of the official extensions on every F-Spot version change, but that doesn't work for external repositories like this one.

So, while this problem isn't addressed by mono or F-Spot, you will have to select the extension version with the first three digits matching your F-Spot version. It's a PITA, but it works for now.

Possibly unnecessary, but I wanted to say thanks for A) fixing/addressing this, and B) posting the details of how to get it working.
