Oh... you're the living demonstration that I was wrong and Andreas is right: I was pushing him to make ewg-gtk only SE+Linux.... > Incidentally, EWG as-is gets muddled when using gcc on Windows; assumes > that static libraries are .lib rather than .a . I've tried with ewg cvs and it work nicely, as long as you give ewg a good global include. I shall send it to the list this evening. It seems you want to wrap many on the library I'm wrapping too.. (well, proposed to wrap 8)... can we join our efforts? We need to provide Eiffel the batteries.... (think about Python "language with batteries included" i.e.: greate std lib 8) I've noticed you are speaking exclusively about free software. Shall we open a project on sf.net or perhaps savannah.gnu.org? What license is feasible for eiffel wrappers/library? EFL2 is nice because it is GPL compatible, but it makes me feel uneasy because it permits proprietary forks. Perhaps LGPL? Thanks in advance Paolo Redaelli |
