Hello All --

Version 0.2.2 of EVMS will feature an enhanced on-disk format.  This format
will improve reliability and recoverability, but will not be compatible
with the existing format.  Since EVMS is not yet Beta level code, we don't
think that anybody is using EVMS in a significant way and are thus not
planning to offer an upgrade path.  Avoiding the upgrade path allows us to
simplify the code and make the new, more robust disk format available
sooner.  However, before we do this, we wanted to be as sure as possible
that this is the correct course of action.  What does everybody think about
this?

NOTE:  This change would only affect EVMS volumes, not compatibility
volumes.
