Novell bug 75941 is about the lvextend command hanging while running on an = XFS=20 volume under load, but it applies equally to snapshots. It involved a simpl= e=20 fix to the VFS code that "freezes" filesystems when requested by the=20 block-layer. The patch was added during the SLES9-SP2 beta period. Novell bug 62032 is about hangs caused by xfs_freeze, and involved the same= =20 area of code as 75941. Were you able to gather any information about the cause of the "sporadic"=20 hangs you still got with the SP2-RC2 kernel? =2D-=20 Kevin Corry kev...@us... http://www.ibm.com/linux/ http://evms.sourceforge.net/ |
