Well, I am giving up on this one. The SLES9 SP2 RC2 kernel does not fix my problem, and with the mainline kernel on the server nfs-clients cannot lock files, so certain services which we rely on don't run. I am converting the /home volume to ext3 and switching the kernel back to the SuSE released one, in the hope that I can get back to my real work. I really like XFS, but something in my setup does not cooperate too well. Regards, Martin Schaffoener P.S.
