I'm really missing the plugins for the AIX and OS/2 region managers.
Well the OS/2 one is more urgent, since I'd need a common
filesystem shared by Linux and OS/2. The ext2-IFS does not work
with LVM, so VFAT/FAT32 and JFS remain, however OS/2 does JFS
on LVM volumes only and FAT has some drawbacks...
Also, the availability of these two plugins has been announced in the
very beginning of the project but unfortunately with the redesign their
development was stopped. EVMS could allow access to AIX volumes
from Linux (e.g. when having both on one machine or for rescue
purposes), so why not continue that work?

We dropped the OS/2 and AIX plugins because we never really
got them right. They were always a work-in-progress, and we
never really had enough information to fully develop them,
especially for the AIX plugin. Since we have fewer people
working on EVMS now and there was little or no demand for
those plugins, we decided to retire them to the CVS attic.
I'm sorry we can't provide much help with this request, but
we simply don't have enough resources at this time to
restart development on those plugins.
