Is DR-DOS free? If so where can I get it? Will I be able to use win 3.1 with DR-DOS? What about FreeDOS? Thanks, Paul _ _ _ _ _ _ FROM: nlc.net.auDATE: 09/06/2000 07:24:43SUBJECT: RE: [Etherboot-users] can`t create bootable image using mformat > I also did this: > > mcopy -pm a:/io.sys a:/msdos.sys a:/command.com x: > mcopy -pm a:/io.sys a:/msdos.sys a:/command.com y: > > Doing this: > > dd if=/usr/tmp/bootfloppy of=/dev/fd0 > > and > > dd if=/usr/tmp/bootfloppy2 of=/dev/fd0 > > does not produce bootable floppies. Try setting the attributes of io.sys and msdos.sys to rsh with mattrib. Some bootstraps are fussy about this. Or just use DR-DOS, which works fine. ------------------------------------------------------ This mail sent via NLC WebMail: http://www.nlc.net.au/ _______________________________________________ Etherboot-users mailing list <EMAIL: PROTECTED> http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/etherboot-users _____________________________________________________________________________ http://sport.yahoo.com.au - Yahoo!
