I would like to build a simple gPXE AoE boot floppy (or CD) that would work without having to get an IP address from a DHCP server since AoE doesn't need to have an IP address anyway. I've got the following script: #!gpxe sanboot aoe:e10.0 By embedding this image: make EMBEDDED_IMAGE=script bin/xxxxxx.rom I could get it to work via autoboot (autoboot.c), but only if the dhcp request that's in netboot() is successful. My hacky way of fixing this was to put boot_embedded_image() before dhcp() and right after the ifstat() in netboot(). So my question: Is there a way to get gPXE to do what I want without having to modify the source? If not, any ideas on a less hacky way of doing this in the code... I'd be happy to try my hand at a patch. Thanks, Brian |
