Hello, I am a coreboot developer (formerly known as LinuxBIOS). I am developing coreboot for a embedded motherboard design that has an onboard Intel 82562ET nic and 82801DB ICH4 Lan Controller. The 82562ET nic does not have an eeprom. For some reason when I power up the motherboard with coreboot it seems the nic does not power on and when coreboot does it's PCI BUS Scan it is not anle to find the device "01:08.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB PRO/100 VE (CNR) Ethernet Controller" 8086:103a. I have gone over all the settings (a few times) in the southbridge datasheet and everything seems to be ok. Most of the documentation for the 82562ET pertains to a nic with an eeprom, not what they call the LOM (Lan On Motherboard) design. Could anyone help me out with this??? Thanks - Joe |
