Which version of Etherboot, which driver, do other clients work? Have you tried a different switch/patch cables? If the server has two NICs are you connected to the correct nic? Have you turned off iptables/firewall on the server? Try running tcpdump or ethereal on the server to see if the card is broadcasting at all.
