Well I did the lazy bit; the invitation is still open for someone to write a shell script to handle the legacy and difficult BIOSes, generating a say .liso image. It would be called like this from the Makefile genliso blahblah.zlilo blahblah.liso It would create a 1.44 MB floppy image, generate the necessary syslinux config files, write the "kernel" and config files to the "floppy" and call syslinux to make the image bootable, then call mkisofs to create the .liso image. Or maybe the syntax should be reversed genliso foo-bar.liso foo.zlilo bar.zlilo and the menu would allow either foo or bar to be booted. If you really want to be elaborate you could read a template syslinux.cfg file to allow syslinux behaviour to be controlled. |
