The davicom driver does not appear to work in any 5.x
version. This nic is recognized by the tulip driver as
an unknown tulip. Should the tulip driver be updated
for it or should the davicom driver be fixed.

Davicom themselves adapted the driver from Marty Connor's
tulip driver. Not sure why. Merging it back into the tulip
driver would be nice, but check with diff -b what
differences there are to try to understand why Davicom
forked the source. It may simply be a matter of adding the
IDs to the tulip driver.

Hello,
I was able to create an image for the davicom 9102 card with
etherboot 5.0.7 and even 5.2.5 .
It works with
make bin/dm9102.fd0 (5.2.5) OR
make bin32/dm9102.lzdsk; cat bin32/dm9102.lzdsk > /dev/fd0
(5.07)
on Debian Woody which uses gcc 2.95.4 .
The same commands does *not* work with Debian testing (gcc
3.3.4). The result is the TX Timeout.
The file eb-5.0.7-dm9102.lzdsk generated by rom-o-matic
(5.0.7) is working too, but eb-5.2.5-tulip.zdsk (5.2.5 with
tulip:dm9102) is not.
Yours sincerely
Ulli John

Just noticed that 5.4.0 was out. I'm happy to report that I
downloaded the 9102 davicom driver floppy image and it
successfully worked. I know this isn't a very detailed
report, but it's the first image since 5.0.7 that has worked
for me.
Thanks,
John

I was able to get the v5.0.7 version to work with the 9102
based cards that came with some Dell systems.
v5.3.7 and v5.2.4 did *not* work. They gave the TX Timeout
error that's been reported on the mailing list.
