I'm afraid that the configure script has proved itself several times not to
catch all build dependencies.

I believe you are still missing some development libraries. As a guide,
here is a list of gdk-imlib-dev dependencies for debian. Some of the libs
you are missing are probably among these

Depends: imlib-base (>= 1.9.8-3), gdk-imlib1 (>= 1.9.8-3), imlib-progs,
libgtk1.2-dev, libjpeg62-dev, libpng2-dev, libtiff3g-dev, zlib1g-dev,
libungif3g-dev | giflib3g-dev | libungif4-dev
