Hi,

I have made a 1MB+ tex file (a novel, btw) and it takes too long to open it. Of course I can split it up, but it probably more convenient to have just one big tex file.

Using Eclipse 3.0M7.

Okay, ill have a look and see if it is a problem with my code or
if it is just an issue with the eclipse text rendering engine.

It seems that the problem is somewhat mitigated in Eclipse
3.1.0 build 200409070800 (the latest integration build at
the time of this writing). But the loading still feels a bit
too long: For a TeX file about 2.0M on Athlon 64 3000+ with
1.5G RAM and 1600x1200x32 desktop on Windows XP SP2, it took
me about 12 seconds, whereas when I open that in other text
editor that has syntax highlighting (UltraEdit), it opens
    almost immediately.

Also, I don't think that the problem was with Eclipse text
rendering engine: I've openned a Java file about the same
size, yet it opened about 3-4 seconds for the first time
openning it and almost immediately for the subsequent
openning. If I open the Java file using only "Text Editor"
(without any highlighting at all), it opens almost immediately.

Not only that, I tried to shrunk the Eclipse window and open
the file, yet it still took about 12 seconds, every single
time. This also leads to big delay when I resize Eclipse
window. Every time I resize the window, it took about 5-6
seconds. The same issue also appears when I minimize and
maximize the Eclipse window. So, in many cases, I had to
close the panel first and then reopen.

Kindly Mr./Ms. Developer(s) look into this problem. I'd love
to integrate my TeX editing for my documentation with Eclipse.
