Hello, I am try to retrieve the formants of a "i" french sound using espeakedit 1.27 under Linux. A few issues are met perhaps because I am not familiar with this process. Here are more details below. Thank you, Gilles * the original wave file is: http://oralux.org/tmp/eSpeak/espeakedit-1.27/i.wav The spectrum.dat file comes from the praat 4.5.6 package customized. Several formants are recognized. A few links: * the resulting spectrum.dat file built by a customized praat 4.5.6 package is: http://oralux.org/tmp/eSpeak/espeakedit-1.27/spectrum.dat * a few screenshots: ** db/Hz spectrum: http://oralux.org/tmp/eSpeak/espeakedit-1.27/Spectrum_i.png ** spectrogram: http://oralux.org/tmp/eSpeak/espeakedit-1.27/Sound_i.png ** list of formants: http://oralux.org/tmp/eSpeak/espeakedit-1.27/praat_formant_list_i.png Once the spectrum.dat file is opened under espeakedit, the formants are different and the amplitude is set to 0. Here is a frame showing a rms/Hz spectrum with apparently one formant: http://oralux.org/tmp/eSpeak/espeakedit-1.27/espeakedit_i.png -- Oralux.org http://association.oralux.org |
