[Espeak-general] Volume Shoots up to 100% on doing eSpeak_Configure

Hello,
Ive been trying to develop an application around the espeak library
for Linux. As such, the thing works fine, but the problem is that when
the application is initialized, the volume shoots up to 100%(In the
beginning of the code, I do eSpeak_Configure). This leads to extraloud
playback and hurts the ears. I cant distribute my app in this state.
Can you help?
