Hi Jonathan,
I remember that tone is defined in "ph_zh_yue". But I can't find this file now. I am not sure whether it has been moved to other place.

What I want to do is change the tone 1 of Cantonese
from "tone 50 30 envelope/p_fall NULL"
to "tone 50 50 envelope/p_level NULL".
This is more close to the situation in Hong Kong.
In current rule, tone 7, 8, 9 are same to 1, 3, 6. And there are no 7, 8, 9 tones in the Cantonese dictionary (zhy_list).

However, I would like to remove tone 8, 9 and make "tone 50 30 envelope/p_fall NULL" as the 7th tone. Because many words spoken in contour 55 and contour 53 can be distinguished by most people in Canton (Guangzhou). One of the reason that these two contours not taken as separate tones is that, Jutping system is developed Linguistic Society of Hong Kong and most people in Hong Kong cannot distinguish them.
Canton and Hong Kong are two main cities that speak Cantonese.
I am going to add items of tone 7 to zhy_list. Could you please help to modify the rules first? Thank you very much!
