That voice drop-down box on the windows app form where you can save the output to a .wav file. Although I get it to add things like f2 etc. with no problem, the other voice variants, like those called boris, zac, auntie, croak, whisper etc. etc. don't want to work whether I try using the file's name, or what's mentioned in the file's content after the name keyword. Maybe those voice variant files are not 100% perfectly created, but they work in NVDA using the espeak synth driver as such - I know it's linked to MSSAPI, but anyway, I have also copied them into the eSpeak\espeak-data\voices\!v folder FWIW... Up until now, I've sometimes made NVDA do a read all, and then recorded the output using Audacity, but that's not always perfect, and isn't as easy for full eBooks etc. Stay well, and TIA Jacob Kruger Blind Biker Skype: BlindZA '...Fate had broken his body, but not his spirit...' ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jonathan Duddington" <jo...@js...> To: <esp...@li...> Sent: 07 August, 2008 12:07 PM Subject: Re: [Espeak-general] Making use of voice variants > On 06 Aug, Jacob Kruger <ja...@ck...> wrote: > >> and while it does seem to populate the voice combo box with some of >> the standard ones if I reinstall and then add them to the list of >> wanted languages, I don't seem to be able to get it to 'see' some of >> the newer variants that have been generated by users on the NVDA >> mailing list, > > What do you mean by "the voice combo box"? > > Are you using the Windows SAPI5 version of eSpeak?
