I know this is probably out of your realm of expertise(and interest), but Zend has released a new IDE for PHP developers that's "based on" Eclipse. It's essentially a glorified, re-branded Eclipse plugin, but it's vitally important for poor PHP developers like me. Finally, a real IDE!

I can't get to preferences screen, either in the global or project context. The error I receive upon going there says:

"Unable to create the selected preference page.
Bad version number in .class file"

Does this mean anything to you? It sure doesn't to me. I'm using the most recent version available as of now (esftp 1.1.0, esftp-lib 1.0.5+).

Apart from that, all I can say is the plugin seems to show up in all the right places -- context menus, main file menu, etc., and I followed the instructions on installation to the tee.

I just can't get it to, you know, do stuff. Which is terrible, because this exact functionality has been haunting my dreams for years. I just hope Zend hasn't arbitrarily broken compatibility with standard Eclipse plugins. That would make me so mad.
