Hi All, Nick and Sayamindu could u please clarify how all should proceed on the development front, what all we have to achieve?now i think every one is working on his own.let's first decide what we are going to build and for that what are the tools we are going to use then proceed with work.else every thing will be in mess. now i was working on VB and as mentioned some body on VC.so first remove all the confusion. As far as mine concerened i can work on Java,XML,WSDL P2P protocols other than VB. hoy! remember to cc me too :D on principle i'm against anything derived from or related M$. if we are making a GPLe'd OS, let everything related to be at least OSI approved using VB atleast brings forward a lot ofsecurity and licensing concerns and regarding messenger system, I think, we can borrow from the "Shoutbox" concept of POSTNuke -regds- Sayamindu On Sat, 2002-07-20 at 20:28, th1nk3r wrote: > > > sorry didn't checked my e-mail > > wel I was working on the main part to get favorties working > > wanted to use XP style but didn't worked very good with MDI forms > > for the messenger thing, I was looking on sourceforge and their is a guy > > that has made a complete messenger in VB a MSN clone with KaZaA extra's > > Hi, I don't kwow too much about VB. I'm experimented with VC++, but I thi= nk=20 that we have more oportunities with a VC Browser than a VB.. the major=20 problem is the vbruns.dll. We can do a browser in VC in little time thank= s to=20 the class CHtmlView. Well, perhaps in the future we can do two versions or a final version in = VC=20 ^_^ Another think, about the messenger, there are more suculent alternatives = in=20 Jabber. There are some MSN/ICQ/AOL/YAHOO/KaZaA clones for jabber, coded i= n=20 VB. You can find info in www.jabbercentral.com ;) I can help with PHP, SQL, C++ and VC++.
