Hi, there is this new synta mount skywatcher eq-m 35 pro.
It is a more stable eq 3 with larger gears and thus better precision for astrophotography. As it is a usual skywatcher mount that can be used with the standard handset, supporting it via eqmod should be easy.
One just has to know the numbers for the gears that one has to use in eqmod. could you at least upgrade the wiki?
This here are the data:
R.A. Worm Gear 92.5mm Diameter, 180 Teeth
DEC Worm Gear 34.3mm Diameter, 65 Teeth
R.A. Worm Drive 25.5mm Diameter, Steel
DEC Worm Drive 20mm Diameter, Steel
What does this mean for eqmod?
Unless skywatchere are doing something totally new it should just work with EQMOD out of the box. EQMOD reads all the info it needs with respect to gearing etc. from the mount itself on inital connection and there should be no need to get into any manual confiuration via "custom mount settings"
