No

when a 2 letter SLD is checked for availability the
server replys with the following Error

epp_Exception!
code: [2004] lang: [en-US] msg: [Parameter
value range error]
value: [2004 DomainNameType:ar.info:Failed
Call: DomainNameType:xx.info

The result should be
DomainCheck results: [1000] [Command completed
successfully]
DomainCheck results: domain [xx.info] exists? [true]

There will be a HUGE amount of requests for single and
doubble letter SLDs and their unavailability should not
throw a Range Error as thei leads one to believe that
the request was malformed.

Unless the registrar is intimate with ICANN policy on
this subject the registrar will have to code specificly
for this policy which is better implemented as
returning an exists condition for a domain check
command.

I Recomnd that the registis pre-allocate these domains
and reserve them to ICANN. The current result for a
xx.info check request will confuse the registrar into
thinking the request was malfomed, when in acutality
the request was ok, but the ICANN policy/business rule
was violoated by the request.

Rick, I had posted this bug to the .info server development
team. With the deadline of opening the registry, they've
decided to defer this bug until a later release. Email me
if you have any concerns about this. Thanks.

Actually Rick, the .info registry should now be returning a
"registry policy error" for reserved domain names. Plus I
think that after landrush queue processing (I might be wrong
about the timing), the .info registry will create the
reserved domains in the database so that exists == true. Is
this sufficient to close this bug now?
